Last week, Zowell omnidirectional reach trucks and man-up three-way forklifts were shipped out of the warehouse after quality inspection, and were sent to an overseas customer in the pipe industry together.

Project Background

As one of the key infrastructure supply chains, pipes play a vital role in construction, manufacturing and other areas.

The customer specializes in the production and sale of pipeline products, in order to meet the broad market, diversified needs, the enterprise continues to introduce new innovations, expanding production, the traditional warehousing model and logistics equipment is difficult to meet the needs of the future development of the enterprise.

Existing Problems

1. Insufficient storage space

Ground-stacked warehousing takes up too much ground, and the special shape of the tubes and the limited height of the stacks do not make full use of the warehouse space in the vertical direction, and the capacity of the warehouse is very limited;

2. Long material handling difficulties

Pipe loading and unloading, transfer, storage need to use different handling equipment, logistics is difficult, it is difficult to load tons of goods at a time, the flow of inefficient;

3. Safety hazards

The large size difference and smooth surface of the tubes have led to loss of load and slipping from the forks during transportation, posing a major safety hazard;

Part.1

After comprehensively considering the site constraints and the customer's key needs, Zowell intelligent forklift business staff recommended the multidirectional forklift + man-up three-way forklift for the enterprise, and the two equipments complemented each other, helping the enterprise to realize the efficient storage of long materials + the efficiency of spare parts sorting.

Part.2

Zowell took full advantage of the fact that omnidirectional forklift trucks can travel and stack in narrow aisles of only 2,300mm, and re-planned the storage layout for the customer. The narrow aisle racking storage format of up to 10m was used to replace the previous floor stacking type, increasing the available storage space by nearly 80%.

Part.3

RSEW multidirectional forklift trucks are designed for 3-10m long material transportation, with a rated load of 3 tons, which more than doubles the amount of pipe material handled in a single trip compared to the previous one.

Part.4

Zowell has thoughtfully equipped the multidirectional trucks with fork positioner for this project, so that the employees do not need to get off the trucks, and can flexibly adjust the fork spacing with a single button in order to adapt to the different specifications of the long materials
