In all industries, intelligent upgrades have become a key component in improving competitiveness. How to build a green, efficient and intelligent modern warehouse from scratch? Today, Zowell will share with you a customer case that helps an agrochemical technology company to achieve unmanned logistics upgrade.
Project Background
The client is a national pesticide production designated enterprise. With the gradual expansion of the production scale and the increase of competition in the agrochemical technology industry, the client began to explore ways to upgrade logistics and optimise costs. The customer has built a new warehouse, hoping to introduce intelligent logistics solutions under the trend of industrial intelligence, to improve warehouse utilisation and logistics efficiency, and to reduce labour employment costs to a certain extent.
Project Difficulties
l Warehouse docking production line, nowadays the inventory of each SKU is increasing, the customer wants to optimise the racking design scheme to develop enough storage space to take over the expanded production scale.
l Skilled forklift workers are expensive to hire, and pesticide formulations are chemicals, products may be dangerous if the packaging is damaged, the customer wants to reduce the reliance on labour, while maintaining a stable daily volume of inbound and outbound storage.
l Goods in the production line and warehouse, packing and shipping area between the large number of flows, frequent transport, in the case of constant movement of personnel in and out of the warehouse information traceability is difficult.
Project Advantages
In response to the customer's needs, combined with the objective conditions of the customer's warehouse, we provided a three-way AGV forklift with a lifting height of 8.5m, and custom-designed a narrow aisle high-bay racking solution for the customer, making full use of both vertical and lateral space, helping the customer to transform the current empty warehouse into an efficient, intelligent and modern warehousing and logistics warehouse.
Based on the customer's current storage needs and future development plan, we designed an unmanned narrow aisle logistics solution for the customer, which is a narrow aisle high level rack with a distance of only 1,850mm from the goods to the goods, and a three-way AGV forklift truck with a man downward movement. The racking height of 9m, together with the 3-way AGV forklift with a maximum lifting height of 8.5m, fully meets the demand for high lifting and large load cargo access, and develops a great amount of storage space for the customer in the new warehouse.
The project includes WMS warehouse management system, RCS central scheduling system and man-down three-way AGV forklift, man-down three-way AGV forklift is responsible for high stacking to achieve high storage in narrow aisles, WMS warehouse management system is responsible for the whole process of logistics information technology management, to achieve accurate control of inventory, the manager can always check the inventory of dynamic data updates to reduce the error of manual inventory and time costs, not only to avoid the traditional manual records lead to information lagging problems, but also to improve the accuracy of many SKU inventory data. Traditional manual records lead to the problem of information lag, but also to improve the accuracy of inventory data of many SKUs.
